Missouri Head Start Parents Are Leaders in Jefferson City!

Recently, the Missouri Head Start Association hosted about 40 Missouri Head Start parents and grandparents at the 2010 MHSA Parent Leadership Conference in Jefferson City.  Forty of some of the brightest and most astute parent-advocates met to hear from legislators, state department leaders, lobbyists and fellow grass-roots advocates to learn both the history of Missouri's legislative process, tour the facilities that house that history and hear the most up-to-date accounts of the happenings in today’s legislative process that will create the history that future generations will look back on.  As our state and nation continue to work our ways out of our current economic crises it was obvious that nothing could hold back the positive attitude and drive of these Head Start parents and grandparents in their desire to better the communities in which they are raising their children in.
