In an effort to increase awareness of the number of Head Start and Pre-K programs working together successfully to maximize resources and better serve children and families within Missouri, the Missouri Head Start State Collaboration Office and the Missouri Head Start Association would like to ask each MHSA program member to complete the PreK Partnership template that is linked below by describing any successful partnerships in your communities.

It is anticipated the Directory of Head Start-Pre K Partnerships will serve as a resource for both local and state stakeholders.  The resource will:

·         provide ideas on how to craft successful collaborations to ensure access to needed services for eligible children and families

·         assist programs in developing practical strategies for collaboration between Head Start and pre K and formalizing these partnership building efforts

·         provide a comprehensive written description of successful Missouri Head Start –Pre-K partnerships

We look forward to hearing from each of you as the success of this directory is dependent upon your examples.  We would also like to take this moment to extend our appreciation to you for your participation.  Our shared goal is to support and promote successful collaboration between Head Start and Pre-K.
