Call to Order
Pam LaFrenz, MVCAA, MHSA President called the meeting to order. Members were asked to report on something positive that had happened to them in the last 36 hours.  Pam asked for changes/additions to the agenda. Hearing none the agenda stands as submitted.

Minutes
Minutes of the August 2007 meeting were reviewed. Hearing no additions/revisions, the minutes stand as submitted.

Financial Report
Donna Veatch, MHSA Executive Services, reviewed the current balance sheet. The treasurers report stands approved as submitted.

Partner Reports (Action Items)

MHSSCO: Stacey Owsley reporting (*)

• Continuing Grant Application/Review: thoughts were shared regarding Continuing Education, children in the Foster System, MO Humanities Council Read from the Start Program, higher level training for others outside of HS (i.e. community action, child care partners) partnering and extending training outreach efforts

DSS-Children’s Division: Holly Otto reporting

• Home Visitation were awarded; 26 were awarded, to 20 contractors

• 13 Start Up and Expansion grants were awarded

• EHS indicators will be modeled/merged with the ECCS plan

• All budget requests have been sent to Governor to be included in his plan

• ECI has been discontinued

Missouri Coalition for Oral Health: Shawntay Myers, Executive Director reporting (*)

• Summit was successful

• MFH-05 grant will conclude in June. Will be spending down funds and transferring last administrative funds to MHSA.

MACA Report

• Poverty Summit will be held next week

Executive Services Report: Donna Veatch reporting (*)

• Gabbie Hodkiss moved, Mary Nance second ,to move forward with DVG securing Quickbooks online accounting services. Motion carried.

• Claudia Ryan moved, Linda Bleything second, to use the CC system in place with DVG and to pass associated transaction fee on to the program/organization. Motion carried.

Unfinished Business
 10:00 am in the lobby to review Strategic Plan.
